The annual Connaught Village Festival is set to return on Wednesday 22nd June 2016 from 2-8pm. Connaught Village brings back the traditional British village vibe to central London. From croquet to cakes, seesaws to sophisticated soirees, the village streets will be transformed into an idyllic village green with an array of interactive activities for all ages as well as in-store promotions and exclusive offers. Connaught Village is just off the hustle and bustle of Edgware Road and ten minutes from Hyde Park. Once you leave the main road you are immersed in a wonderful and magical village atmosphere, there will also be live music and entertainment throughout the day. This popular event will kick off the summer season in central London with style and class.

Highlights for all ages include the renowned Connaught Village Dog Show and celebrity judge Angela Rippon, the legendary show that attracts dogs and owners from across London. Categories for the dog show include: Waggiest Tail and the dog only a mother could love. Flower crown making by The Flower Appreciation Society, street food, free ice creams, giant garden games, a Pimms giveaway, a Photo Booth, complimentary cakes courtesy of Cocomaya, silhouette cutting and face painting. Explore the vintage fire engine with demonstrations, gardening workshops, crazy golf, a tombola, candy floss, arts and crafts, popcorn and Connaught Village Treasure Hunt.

The whole village will be opening their doors until 8pm. Many of Connaught Village’s premium retailers and restaurants will be offering exclusive discounts as well as one-off masterclasses and workshops including a cheese and wine pairing masterclass at Buchanan’s, a pottery class at Mud, flower arranging by Prewett Miller and a traditional Japanese sushi workshop at Kurobuta. Fashion favourites including Viola, Eliza Jane Howell and Lucy Choi will be hosting fashion soirees and talks during the evening.

For the adventurous gourmet, Connaught Village provides the most delicious opportunity to go round the culinary globe without even leaving London with restaurants from Europe, Middle East, South America and Asia, all within this sophisticated, international enclave of London’s finest boutiques and restaurants. Either dine at some of the great restaurants or sample some of the culinary delights at food stalls from Stuzzico, Salt and Honey, Kurobuta and Buchanan’s.

The Connaught Village Festival is a great day out for all the family, and the perfect opportunity to explore one of London’s hidden gems. Located a five minute walk away from Marble Arch Station, Connaught Village is a picturesque haven in the center of London. Popular with many a familiar face including The Beckham’s, Claudia Winkleman, Scott Mills and Jennifer Saunders, it’s a free family friendly event not to be missed.
