This summer, Make the Future London allows the whole family to get hands-on with some of the brightest energy ideas that are helping shape our future. Held at London’s iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, between June 30 to July 3, this free event makes learning about the future of energy fun for everyone.
There are six themed zones, packed with experiences to explore how energy powers human progress and what our everyday lives might look like as we transition to a low carbon world. Families can build and race their very own cars – powered by saltwater, take a virtual reality journey deep underground, have a go in an energy zorb or get active and see how playing your favourite sport could create energy!
Come and meet some of Britain’s young entrepreneurs, engineers and scientists, and learn about the projects helping to encourage and inspire our next generation of new thinkers. And, if you have an aspiring motor car driver on your hands, then check out the mobility zone to discover new ways people and their things could move around now and in the future.
Featuring at Make the Future London is one of the longest running student challenges, Shell Eco-marathon.. This unique fuel-efficiency competition will see hundreds of student teams from across Europe and the Middle East, pushing the limits of engineering and creativity by designing and building ultra-efficient cars to see how far they can travel on the least amount of fuel.
With celebrity appearances, musical superstars, hands-on science experiments, interactive displays, virtual reality experiences and much more to both entertain and educate, this is a day out for all the family.
