Ruby runs a cabaret from her East End kitchen, but the family is falling apart. Sapphire the cook and Mabel the glaciologist are fighting over the gin still, the Boy Bun is killing small animals, and Moldavite the celestial mechanic is missing in outer space. With predators at the door and creditors on the phone, Ruby’s got to reunite the household and get things back on track. If time is relative, could death be too?

The Night Kitchen Cabaret produces multi-disciplinary theatre featuring actors, musicians, dancers and stars of UK circus and cabaret. Past shows include Welcome to the Night Kitchen Cabaret, Granite & the Heartbreak Charms, Bun & the Space Arachnids and The Imbolc Blues. Narratives weave around acts created in collaboration with the company. Family Tree stars writer/actress Roses Urquhart, actress/aerialist Clare Barrett, actress/musician Jo Bowis, actress Jordon Stevens, musician Paul Frankish, international circus artist Sophie Page Hall, and the leading speciality act of the UK cabaret revival, Mat Ricardo.
