Eurydice is the first democratic president of war-stricken Thebes. She promises peace to her people but cannot deliver without the aid of profiteer Theseus, and her opposition is waiting in the wings. Acclaimed dramatist Moira Buffini (Dinner, Handbagged) paints a hybrid world in which classical myth and modern day brutality intertwine.
