This August the National Theatre’s riverside rooftop events venue, The Deck, will once again raise the curtains on its pop-up cinema club for a series of exclusive screenings of the critically acclaimed stage production, War Horse.

For five days only from Monday 15th-Friday 19th August, cinema-goers can relax in comfy deck chairs overlooking iconic London’s skyline, with a series of matinee and evening screenings of one of the NT’s most famous productions. Theatre-enthusiasts and film-fanatics alike can enjoy the delicious street food and drinks, as they follow the extraordinary journey of the young protagonist Albert and his beloved horse Joey. For a truly exclusive immersive experience, an original never-before seen puppet for Joey’s mother Alice, who was cut from the final play, will be positioned in The Deck.

Tickets, which are available from Monday 13 June and priced at £25 for adults and £20 for children (18 or under), include a tasty smoked brisket slider in a sesame seed bun with homemade gherkin relish, and sweet and salted fluffy white popcorn. Also included is a glass of crisp house wine, a beer or a soft drink.

To book, visit nationaltheatre.org.uk, call the box office on 020 7452 3000 or email [email protected].
