Mencap's Dodgeballdayer

On Saturday 6 August, Dodgeballdayer, the UK’s biggest fancy dress dodgeball tournament, will descend on Wimbledon Rugby Club. Teams from all over London will be dressing up in their finest fancy dress to take part in the tournament, hosted by learning disability charity Mencap, which will raise money to help Mencap continue its support for people with a learning disability, their families and carers.

Teams of eight dodgeballers will compete in at least seven games. Fancy dress is crucial as participating teams will battle it out to be crowned not just champions of the dodgeball field but of fancy dress as well, with prizes up for grabs.

There’ll be music throughout the day from DJ’s, as well as food and drinks stalls, to keep players and spectators going late in to the night. There’ll also be the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes and raise more money for Mencap with an auction and a raffle during the day.

The money raised from Mencap’s Dodgeballdayer will go towards helping the charity continue its support for people with a learning disability, their families and their carers.
