The dynamic Sacconi Quartet celebrates their 15th birthday with a performance of two well-loved quartets – Mozart’s D major Quartet nicknamed after its dedicatee, and Mendelssohn’s Sixth Quartet, the last major work he completed before his premature death.

In the second half, they are joined by celebrated tenor Mark Padmore for the London premiere of Jonathan Dove’s new song-cycle for tenor and string quartet, In Damascus, setting words by the contemporary Syrian poet Ali Safar.
