Running throughout the summer, Regent’s Place will offer an action packed series
of free, interactive events from June until September. A giant open-air screen will
pop-up until the end of August, showcasing a variety of sports - including
Wimbledon, Henley and the Olympics - as well as a range of film favourites. In
addition, a schedule of hands on activities will be in place for all to enjoy, making
Regent’s Place the perfect summer destination.
Kicking off the series in June, Regent’s Place will celebrate Wimbledon with quirky
and interactive activities encapsulating the vibrant spirit of the event. Tennis
(lookalike) stars including Andy Murray and Roger Federer will meet visitors to
Regent’s Place throughout the first week of the tennis tournament, while on 7th and
8th July a tennis simulator will give budding pros the chance to embrace their inner
Andy Murray and practise their skills. In addition, the ‘Wimbledon Whites’ Finals
Weekend will be shown free of charge on the big screen, with Drake and Morgan’s
‘pocket rocket’ bar on site to cater to thirsty fans. A weekend of fun and games for
the whole family, visitors can expect children’s activities and a tennis whites
themed best-dressed competition on the day.
Free events throughout the summer will offer something to suit all tastes, from ontrend
HIIT classes to giant games tailored to groups of friends. For those preferring
to spectate not participate, MILK’s beauty pop-ups will provide the ultimate
pampering escape.
To mark the start of the Rio Olympics in August, Regent’s Place will throw a carnival
to bring the Rio party atmosphere to London. Free to attend, the carnival will offer
a celebration of dance, music, culture and food. Highlights from the tournament
will be aired on the giant screen throughout the month, while an accompanying
series of fun sporting activities will include a “tough mudder” style ninja assault
course, adult sports day, and mini golf tournament.
Regent’s Place will come alive with the spirit of film this summer too, by
showcasing a series of open-air movies. Immersive classic cinema during the week
will see Regent’s Place transformed into scenes from the silver screen, with
weekend family films wowing adults and little ones alike.
