Monday to Friday only

Join us for our Summer Activities Club for a chance to find out more about the forces that shape nature, make earth art or become a wetland CSI investigator. Our Learning Team will be running five exciting programmes over the summer. Each programme runs for one week (Monday to Friday).

Wetland Explorers
Get up close and personal with wetland life as you explore some hidden habitats. Hunt for scorpions under water. Listen for munching voles along the river banks. You might even find a lizard that doesn’t lay eggs! Each day you’ll make some of your own equipment so you can continue exploring nature at home.

Creature creators
Why are some fish striped? Or only some moths brightly coloured? Find out about the forces that shape the animals and habitats around us. Then get creative and sculpt one of your own!

Young wardens
It takes a lot of work to make sure our centre stays a safe place for people and animals. Help take care of the special habitats at the wetland centre by cutting, digging and planting. You’ll get to make your own creature habitats to take home.

Wetland CSI
From beetles to bogs there are many patterns in nature which can help solve mysteries. Learn about some of the science used by real investigators.

Earth art
The environment around us is filled with amazing materials to get creative with. Discover some of the skills many of us have forgotten. Learn to sculpt with willow and make your own felt with wool.

Suitable for children aged 9 – 12.

Time: 10am - 4pm

£120.00 per child for half day programmes and £200 per child for a full day programme.
