To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bugsy Malone, BAFTA’s Piccadilly headquarters will be transformed into Fat Sam’s with children’s activities, screenings and a free exhibition.

For one weekend BAFTA’s iconic Piccadilly home will be transformed into Fat Sam’s, with a dress up photo experience, a den of splurge gun shenanigans, daily screenings of the film and a free exhibition which will explore the making of the BAFTA-winning film with behind-the-scenes images, sketches and untold stories.

“I’m always astounded at the ‘legs’ of Bugsy Malone. Hard to think that what started out as a story that I made up for my children on long car journeys has lasted this long, so I’m extra grateful to BAFTA for celebrating the 40th anniversary of its release,” says director Sir Alan Parker.

The open weekend promises to be fun for all the family and a chance to relive the gloriously catchy songs and irrepressible humour of this much-loved film.
