Dear Leaders and O Anna O

Come and join Dear Leaders as they bid farewell to London and celebrate with a night of old (and new!) music. Support comes from their friends and co-conspirators O Anna O, an exciting new London quartet ready to take the world by storm.

Dear Leaders formed in 2009 at the end of their student days in Bristol, amid the city’s thriving music scene. London soon became the centre of the band’s orbit, but the world has come calling again, with journeys via Myanmar, Norfolk and Manchester now leading on to Barcelona and Hong Kong.

This send-off gig in the intimate setting of The Gallery Café will be a celebration of music both old and new. With previous headline gigs across the UK, support shows alongside artists such as Years & Years and Woman’s Hour, and a recent European tour under their belts, Dear Leaders have forged a reputation as a brilliant yet uncompromising live band – don’t miss this chance to see them.

Thanos and Tom first became colleagues, then friends, then housemates. Sharing passion for driven garage guitar hooks, neurotic vocal lines, surf and Brit pop lightness and neo psychedelic introspection, they formed a band. It all came naturally, drawing from their experience in previous music projects, and uniting their British and Greek cultures. O Anna O is a four piece band: Evie (bass guitar), Vince (drums), Thanos (guitar and singing), Tom (guitar, keyboards and singing). In the 6 months they’ve been together, they developed an unconditional love for each other. They starting performing live in Summer 2016 and plan to record in Autumn 2016... if you ask them nicely.
