JUST

Corelli College in association with Greenwich Theatre is taking an anniversary production of JUST by Ali Smith, directed by Lucy Cuthbertson to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2016 @AssemblyFest

We are performing two free shows for members of the public at Corelli College on Tues 19th and Wed 20th July in the Drama Hall at 7.00pm, Corelli Road, London SE3 8EP.

JUST is an anniversary production of this darkly comic, surreal satire on contemporary justice. Victoria is accused of a very British crime when she discovers a body stabbed in the back with an umbrella. She is innocent but the townspeople believe otherwise. Justice must be done. A decade after it premiered on the Olivier stage, we find it is still as sharp and relevant as ever.

Projects like JUST have earned the company a reputation as one of the most outstanding school-based companies in the UK. Our national achievements include winning the Fringe Report Best Play award (a professional theatre award, not a school award) in 2008 for Hotel World, adapted from the novel by Ali Smith. Ali has called us her “premiering company of choice, never short of brilliant”. Our work has been supported for many years by Greenwich Theatre, and we have regularly transferred productions to Riverside Studios, The Cutty Sark Studio Theatre, Camden People’s Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival.
