With live music in the garden

The Water Poet Bank Holiday Cider Festival and Hog Roast returns this year to celebrate the August Bank Holiday and all things cider! From traditional scrumpy to the funkiest of flavours, The Barn will be overflowing with a who’s who of the best new and classic cider producers around.

A scrumptious hog will be spit roasted in the sunny beer garden and there will be a live band daily – The Wade Austin Steel Band on Saturday 6-9pm & Monday 4 – 7pm and the Viva Zapata Salsa band Sunday 6 -9pm. Grab one of our many festival ciders, pull up a hay bale and enjoy the best bank holiday weekend ever (Notting Hill, what?). There will also be home-made cider ice cream in case you need to eat cider as well and drink it, and our very own photo booth to make sure all the weekends apple-fuelled antics are captured!

An extensive and supremely delicious selection of craft ciders from a variety of producers all over the UK will be available, including fruity Annings from the West Country, a fave from last years event, Thistly Cross from Scotland, newcomers Tiny Rebel Brewing Co from Newport, award winning Kentish Pip from Kent, Garden Cider Co who use donated household apples from all over, delicious Orchard Pig from Somerset, Welsh Purists Hallets, and Cornish Orchard Cider from er… Cornwall

Come and try a festival pint for £5 each, or spend the afternoon making your way through the lot in the beer garden! Available from the barn, everyone’s favourite apple-based booze will flow throughout the weekend and all day Bank Holiday Monday.

There really is no better way to while away a bank holiday afternoon than relaxing in a beer garden with a delicious scrumpy in hand, munching on pig and enjoying live music.
