Form,Tone, Texture brings together Matthew Chambers, James Oughtibridge and Kate Scott, three makers with very distinct approaches to exploring the sculptural possibilities of clay.
This exhibition is a premier for new work from James Oughtibridge. Well known for his sculptural vessels, as commissioned for the Bond film Spectre, his new enclosed forms are dramatic in both scale and texture. James’ simplicity of colour balances the geometric exploration of shape by Matthew Chambers. Traditional processes combine with contemporary form creating visual tactile beauty and intrigue. Large bottles, dishes and deep bowls by Kate Scott portrays her interest in landscape and the sea.
