From 29–31 July the National Theatre and The Glory, East London’s leading alternative queer performance space, present ‘Glory Days’, a free festival of contemporary drag, as part of the NT’s River Stage festival.

Johnny Woo and John Sizzle, two of the owners of stylish Haggerston boozer The Glory, conjure a three-day carousel of contemporary drag on the Thames outside the National Theatre. East London ‘alt drag’ comes of age at this major outing in front of one of London’s most important cultural venues.

‘Glory Days’ will take place on the NT’s River Stage, in front of the NT, which plays host to a free outdoor festival every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 29 July until 29 August. Along with The Glory, there will be take-over weekends from Latitude Festival, Mayfest, and Rambert, and a weekend of music, dance, performance and outdoor cinema from the NT. An eclectic combination of theatre, guest DJs, live music in the afternoon and late evening, family fun, vibrant dance and the very best live music acts – this is a free summer festival not to be missed.
