This September, Talking Peace Festival returns to London for its third year - with a two-week residency at House of Vans on the South Bank.

Kicking off on 21 September 2016 (UN International Peace Day), the peacebuilding charity International Alert will once again celebrate the power of culture and creativity in bringing people together and promoting understanding.

The festival will feature Conflict Café, a pop-up dining experience which invites diners to join communal tables and explore the food and culture of countries affected by conflict.

This year’s countries of choice, represented by a stellar line up of guest cooks, will be Sri Lanka and Lebanon.

The festival will also bring Create Syria – a multimedia exhibition exploring Syrian art in times of crisis; live art workshops; a mini film festival and a photographic retrospective chronicling International Alert‘s 30 years of peacebuilding.

Talking Peace Festival 2016 will finish with a peace-inspired hackathon (#peacehack) at Google Campus in East London.
