‘Iris Dreaming’ is a one-woman opera based on real life character Iris Wilkinson, also known as Robin Hyde, who led a dramatic and tragic life as a writer and journalist travelling from New Zealand via worn-torn China to London on the brink of World War II.
London-based New Zealand soprano Joanne Roughton-Arnold has put together a creative team of leading British and New Zealand talent, reflecting the strong link between the two countries in Iris’s story.
