A month of events and activities for kids 3-8 years to celebrate a summer of sport

As a celebration of this year’s brilliant summer of sports, Wyevale Garden Centres will be running a series of special events throughout August at 46* centres across the country, for children between 3 and 8, which aim to inspire our nation’s children to enjoy everything the rich culture of Brazil has to offer.

Mini Amazon Rainforest
Tuesday 2nd August
11am – 1pm (20 minute sessions)
£2.50
Children are invited to create their own mini amazon rainforest packed full of vegetation inspired by the Amazon.

Fiesta Fruit Flames & Toucan Treats
Wednesday 3rd August & Thursday 4th August

Bring your children to a participating Wyevale Garden Centre to celebrate all things Rio by making a fruity, edible torch and a tasty toucan cookie.

Cabana Carnival Mask
Saturday 9th August
11am – 1pm (20 minute sessions) £2.50
Embrace the carnival spirit and create a unique Cabana Carnival Mask.

Carnival Cookies & Cupcakes
Wednesday 10th August & Thursday 11th August

A Rio themed baking session including decorating giant oat cookies with tropical fruit as well the chance to showing team GB support by decorating cupcakes with the British flag.

Snailympics Tray Planter
Tuesday 16th August
11am – 1pm (20 minute sessions)

Plant and create a happy home for your not-so-speedy snails to race! Ready, get set. Go!

Sporty Energy Bites & Carnival Kebabs
Wednesday 17th August & Thursday 18th August

Children will be able to learn about using natural sugars to create tasty, sporty treats and carnival themed kebabs.

Samba Shaker
Tuesday 23rd August
11am – 1pm (20 minute sessions)

Children are invited to make music by creating their very own samba shaker and decorate it carnival style!

Continent Cookies & Flaming Torch Cupcakes

Bake and ice tasty cookies, representing the five continents that have taken part in the games and wave goodbye to a fantastic summer of sports, by decorating a torch inspired cupcake.
