The Shed with Binker and Moses

Binker and Moses are an award-winning saxophone and drum duo, returning to the Kansas Smitty’s basement to play with acclaimed saxophonist Tom Challenger.

Since releasing their debut album Dem Ones last year on Gearbox Records, Binker and Moses have been collecting awards, including “Best Jazz Act” at the MOBOs, “Breakthrough Act of the Year” and “UK Best Jazz Act of the Year” at the Jazz FM awards. Their album is all the more extraordinary for being recorded analog; it was performed in the live room at Mark Ronson’s Zelig Studio and then recorded direct to a vintage Studer 1/4-inch tape machine.

The duo have been praised for being such accomplished musicians that it’s easy to forget there’s only two people playing, so this rare occasion when they are joined by a third performer is sure to be special.
