Gatwick Airport is offering diners the chance to swap their taro dumplings for roast chicken puffs with the launch of a limited edition, London-inspired dim sum menu. The Cantonese menu boasts a uniquely British twist, and has been created in partnership with Ping Pong to launch the new non-stop direct route from London Gatwick to Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific Airways.

Gatwick has worked with chefs at Ping Pong to create ‘Lon-Dim-Sum’, a brand new selection of dim sum inspired by the capital’s classic dishes. The menu, designed to fuse the best of London’s and Hong Kong’s cuisine, includes four dishes and one unusual beverage:

• Full English Bao
• Beef Wellington Puff
• Steamed Cod with Taro Chips
• Roast Chicken Puff
• Yuanyang – a beverage combining both tea (70 per cent) and coffee (30 per cent) that is a speciality in cafes across Hong Kong

Customers that choose from the ‘Lon-Dim-Sum’ menu will enter a prize draw, with the winner receiving two return tickets from Gatwick to Hong Kong on the new direct flight from the airport.

The bespoke menu will be available in Ping Pong’s St Paul’s restaurant (1 Bread Street, EC4M 9BE) for two weeks, starting from Monday 12th September. The lunchtime menu will cost £20, which will include all four items.*
