ART IN MIND; DIMENSIONS is a stimulating and exciting exhibition bringing together artworks from all over the world showing us that art has no boundaries; allowing us freedom in expression and interpretation. Including representation from Australia, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Pakistan, Turkey and the UK, the show offers us a global perspective of the variety of themes and approaches explored in contemporary art, shedding some light on the many aspects and dimensions of it.

Nirmal Ramo, one of the exhibiting artists, presents images, which are part of his current project titled Unio Mystica. It is a project that aims to depict the journey of an individual seeking freedom. The images take us into different inner territories: from longing, to despair, to transcendence. Burcu Erden explores the concepts of violence and destruction. Her departure point is the effects of violent acts and ruins in real life. These effects transform into a signpost in terms of relation between form and sense. In her works she tries to express visually the cases in which there is no physical destruction. Victoria James presents for the second time her dominant and intriguing abstract pieces. Her work invites us to explore it further, bringing out an array of thoughts and feelings. Her works allow us to interpret them freely and in a way even become part of them.

You are warmly welcome to join us for a drink with the artists at the opening night of ART IN MIND at The Brick Lane Gallery – The Annexe open from 6pm-8.30pm on Wednesday 31st August 2016.
