Walk London, a Transport for London (TfL) project, launches Autumn Ambles – 42 free guided walks covering London’s seven top walking routes. All walks are designed to connect some of London’s best attractions, parks, woodland, rivers, canals and open spaces.
There are walks to suit all ages and interests.

Family walks, designed especially for families with young children, include the popular Animal I-Spy in the City, a gentle stroll searching for dragons, lions, unicorns and more, and Goodnight Mister Tom, inspired by the much loved book.

There’s a new design-themed walk that follows part of the Victoria line above ground. During the 1.5-mile walk, you’ll learn how the Victoria line ploughed into a plague pit and how the Queen is woken every morning; you’ll see a rooftop made famous by the Beatles and discover little known facts about an American president’s wife! This is a special led walk to celebrate TfL’s ‘Transported by Design’ programme, which runs throughout 2016.

Other new walks include Three Walks in One, which takes in sections of London’s most popular walking routes: the Capital Ring, the Lea Valley Walk and the Thames Path. We also have a walk designed to help students new to London discover the city while uncovering all sorts of delightful trivia.
