Darkroom Pop-up at Bert & May

Darkroom has joined forces with Bert & May for Autumn/Winter 2016 presenting a special collaboration and installation of encaustic tiles and fabrics in their Vyner Street showroom. Darkroom also takes over Bert’s Barge moored alongside the showroom, presenting a one-off floating pop-up shop to launch a brand new collection of Darkroom-designed products.

The collection of interior accessories and jewellery explores the beauty of the humble house brick and industrial building components as Darkroom metaphorically builds a new World. The nautical vernacular of portholes and ropes further enhance the theme.

The Dutch barge displays a special interior fit out designed by Darkroom’s Director Rhonda Drakeford that includes the new tile collaboration Split Shift, a modular encaustic tile collection that can be arranged in a myriad of patterns, from the pleasingly structured to the joyously unstructured.

The interior space uses a curated selection of colours from Bert & May’s paint library and fabrics from the collaboration.

Refreshments will be served on the upper deck throughout the London Design Festival.
