SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS
Erin O’Connor Selects
Described by Karl Lagerfeld as one of the best models in the world, Erin O’Connor guest curates a special showcase of Fair highlights. The display features an exciting range of jewellery and silver personally hand-picked by the renowned British supermodel. O’Connor’s favourite pieces from this year’s event can be described as modern yet accessible whilst also reflecting a bold sense of personal style.
Barbara Cartlidge and Electrum Gallery: A Passion for Jewellery
In the early 1970s, Barbara Cartlidge, the pioneering Berlin-born British designer-maker, co-founded Electrum Gallery, the first UK gallery solely dedicated to contemporary jewellery. A Passion for Jewellery showcases boundary-pushing jewellery made by Cartlidge in the 60s and 70s while also telling the story of the ground-breaking Electrum Gallery.
Silver: The Dark Side
Did you know that silver can be elegantly dark and matte silver as opposed to shiny and bright? This exhibition challenges tradition by showcasing silver in a dramatic new light. It features striking works with black oxidised surfaces, plating and non precious metals to suggest new ways of displaying a traditional material.
TALKS PROGRAMME
The comprehensive Talks Programme hosted by industry specialists and experts includes exciting Breakfast Talks such as L’Odyssée de Cartier: The Maison Style and History; The Goldsmiths’ Company Modern Jewellery Collection; and Royal Diamonds, among others.
