The Thamesmead Arts Festival (16 – 18 September 2016) is returning for a second year and it set to be bigger and better, with a programme of events celebrating all things Made in Thamesmead.
The festival is produced by the Thamesmead community working with some of London’s best-known artists and creative organisations and offers a jam-packed programme of more than twenty events that explore the distinctive character of one of London’s most unique areas.
Events include a one-off and exhibition of Thamesmead-inspired artwork, including graphic prints based on Thamesmead Architecture from This Brutal House, a guided tour of the Grade 1 listed Crossness Pumping Station, and a special production of the play Johnny written by and starring Thamesmead local Kwame Augustine developed with Theatre Royal Stratford East’s new writers programme.
