Warning: this show may make you think differently about musical theatre...
Unconventional material! Unconventional performance! Unconventional context! Musical theatre group Centre Stage’s latest show - Left of Centre Stage - is about all of the great musical theatre that is odd, funny, adapted, paradoxical or just way too cheeky.
Featuring songs you know, those you don't and sometimes a mash up of the two, musicals range from current Broadway smashes to Off Broadway standouts and reimagined juke box musicals.
Presented tongue-in-cheek by a brilliant ensemble cast, this slightly sarcastic cabaret celebrates the harmonies and beauty of the music within shows – little known or highly lauded. Left of Centre Stage will appeal to theatre lovers who will enjoy revisiting old songs, but more importantly, learn some new ones!
Join us from 22-24 September at Bethnal Green's Oxford House Theatre for an unusual evening featuring a host of top talent. Please note: songs may feature explicit language so parental discretion advised...
Running time is 2 hrs, including interval and a pre-show bar is available 30 mins before performances.
