JINNWOO

In 2014, Brighton-based troubadour Jinnwoo (aka Ben Webb) released his debut ‘Your Baby’ E.P. and a string of singles, title track ‘Your Baby’ as well as ‘Solo Man’, ‘You Should Be Feeling This Elliott’ and ‘I Am, I Am The World’s Oldest Man.’ The releases collectively garnered coverage across The Guardian Guide, The Line of Best Fit, Clash, 405, For Folk Sake – among many others – all accumulating in Jinnwoo being named one of The Independent’s ‘Faces to Watch 2015’.

Jinnwoo’s charms are evident immediately on listening to his spooked folk songs. His distinctive, fragile vocal and confessional reel are laid bare on stark folk soundscapes which glisten with carefully placed haunting string arrangements and Jinnwoo’s exceptional acoustic guitar work.

His debut album 'Strangers Bring Me No Light' released 2nd September through Cargo Records.
