As part of the London Design Festival, and in partnership with 2 Willow Road, Jerwood Prize winning designer Michael Marriott will be exhibiting his latest product this autumn. Taking inspiration from Ernö Goldfinger’s own working methods, Marriott’s work explores the influence of objects, and the way they are constructed, on our daily lives.

Ernö - a plastic, wall-mounted hook inspired by the fluidity of form in Goldfinger’s work – shows Marriott’s fasincation with the manipulation of materials into objects. Marriott’s first ever injection-moulded object manufactured from Zytel, Ernö is as much informed by the production process and materiality as the tactile requirements of these genre of interior fittings Quality is of the utmost importance to Marriott in all his designs and Ernö will subvert people’s expectations of the use of plastic.

Modernist 2 Willow Road was controversially acquired by the National Trust in 1994 and opened to visitors in 1996. 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of opening.
