"At the going down of the sun ... Remembering in word and song" - a service of remembrance followed by refreshments at St James Church, Piccadilly.

Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir sing at St James’s on the second Sunday of each month and at Farm Street Church in Mayfair on the last Sunday of the month. They have been singing gospel music for over 10 years and have been featured on Radio 2 and at various festivals in the UK. Soul Sanctuary are committed to sharing their expertise and have resources available to groups wanting to sing gospel music and start their own choirs.

St James's Church is part of the Church of England and welcomes people of all faiths and none. It is a beautiful spacious and light church designed by Sir Christopher Wren over 300 years ago after the great fire of London. It is decorated with the carvings of Grinling Gibbons, and has been home over the centuries to many great English thinkers, preachers and musicians. The church is active in social actions issues such as housing and supporting refugees.

This service is part of a rolling programme of Sunday evening services known as 'Sundays at Six'.

St James's Church is located a minute's walk away from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station on the Piccadilly and Bakerloo line, and five minutes walk away from Green Park Underground Station, which is served by the Jubilee and Victoria Line.

The service is completely free, and will last roughly one hour. Why not combine your trip to St James’s with a visit to a museum or art gallery, or stop off at one of the many coffee shops in the nearby area?

Soul Sanctuary also sing on the last Sunday of every month at Farm Street Catholic Church in Mayfair at 5:30pm.
