Join us at Leyden Gallery for this very special event to accompany our current Wilhelmina Barns-Graham exhibition
7 September - 8 October 2016

We are delighted to welcome Dr Carol Robertson, who will give a talk, and in doing so, share some of the secrets of the Barns-Graham screenprints. This event is a must for anyone interested in the prints of Barns-Graham.

Carol Robertson will be exploring and discussing the qualities that painting could not provide for Barns-Graham. The rich dense or translucent colours, multiple accurate placement of dynamic marks, control of layers and of surface quality, and directory of marks.

Carol is an artist, inventor, author, and change, creativity and communication specialist. She is the co-founder with Robert Adam of Graal Press where the screenprints were made.

Join us for a Talk and Walkabout the gallery to Find out how she and 'Willie' worked closely together using artists paints, Carol's Lascaux Tushes, screenprinting processes, and NLP modelling and hypnosis processes. Find out the reasons that the medium of screenprinting could achieve results and resolve dilemmas that could not be achieved by painting. Learn about the creation and construction methods, layering, paint choices and surface quality. Hear anecdotes from their friendship.

The event is Free but places are limited please do RSVP
