Gotta Sing! & The Phoenix Artist Club present the fourth in their series, the Search for the next Musical Theatre Star, “Talent 2016 Grand Final” on Sunday 9th October at 7.30pm at the Playhouse Theatre, London with all the proceeds going to the entertainment charity Acting for Others. Hundreds of new performers applied, whittled down through ten gruelling rounds, so you’ll be guaranteed to see the best in up and coming musical theatre talent. Read on, there’s more…

The eleven finalists will compete to win £1,000 and a recording session, in front of a star-studded professional panel, including Samantha Bond (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Downton Abbey, and of course, James Bond); international casting Director, Neil Rutherford; Vice-President of the The Theatrical Guild, Belinda Lang. And, with one VERY special Judge to be announced (previous judges have included Michael Ball, Elaine Paige, Savannah Stevenson and Kerry Ellis), NOW is the time to purchase your tickets! Also appearing will be leading stars from West End shows such as Wicked, The Book of Mormon, and Motown as well as the musical theatre collective that WON Britain’s Got Talent, Collabro!

Over the last five years this talent search has led the industry, with the winner of our last final, Laura Jane Matthewson, going on to win the Emerging Talent Award at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for her lead performance in the UK premiere of Dogfight, having been spotted by a producer during the Talent competition. Talent 2016 presenter and singer Colin Savage said: “We are looking for the next Rosalie Craig or Killian Donnelly. We struck gold finding Laura Jane and several of our previous finalists have since appeared in West End shows. Let’s hope we can do just as well this year, this is a brilliant platform for new performers!”
