We are thrilled to be screening Every Cook Can Govern: the life, works & impact of C.L.R. James at the Battle of Ideas Festival at the Barbican on Saturday 22nd October at 1.30pm. Every Cook Can Govern – the first feature-length documentary to explore the life, writings and politics of the great Trinidad-born revolutionary C.L.R. James, is an historical tour-de-force, which interweaves the never before seen footage of C.L.R. James with unique testimony from those he knew, alongside interviews with the world’s most eminent scholars of James’ life, work and politics. Every Cook Can Govern marks the culmination of a three year multimedia project arranged by the education charity WORLDwrite and its Citizen TV station WORLDbytes. So we hope you can join us on Saturday 22nd October at 1.30pm at Cinema 2, Silk St, London EC2Y 8DS, for a unique chance to see the film. With terrific debates either side it's worth making a day of it! For tickets and more information about the festival and the screening, please click here:
