We are thrilled to be screening Every Cook Can Govern: the life, works & impact of C.L.R. James at the Hackney Picturehouse on Sunday 20th November at 8.30pm. Every Cook Can Govern – the first feature-length documentary to explore the life, writings and politics of the great Trinidad-born revolutionary C.L.R. James, is an historical tour-de-force, which interweaves never before seen footage of C.L.R. James with unique testimony from those he knew, alongside interviews with the world’s most eminent scholars of James’ life, work and politics. Every Cook Can Govern marks the culmination of a three year multimedia project arranged by the education charity WORLDwrite and its Citizen TV station WORLDbytes. To book your tickets, please visit the Hackney Picturehouse website. There will be a post-screening Q&A with Directors Ceri Dingle and Rob Harris. We hope you can join us at 8.30pm on the 20th of November at the Hackney Picturehouse for this fantastic event.
