Ice-skating and A Special Festive Grotto at Westfield this Christmas

With Christmas on the horizon Westfield announces its program of activities for the festive season. Westfield is not just about Christmas day. It’s about the excitement and the anticipation; shopping and eating, ice-skating and present buying and a whole lot more. Kick off the Christmas season at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City with a special line up of events and experiences including ice-skating, an ‘Adventure to Santa’s Grotto’, Christmas shopping events, Christmas Choirs, special breakfasts and Christmas Jumper Day.

This Christmas, Westfield will unveil a brand new festive experience that will take families on an unforgettable journey to the North Pole accompanied by Po, the Kung-Fu Panda, and friends. The incredible new Grotto at Westfield London and Stratford City – Adventure to Santa’s Grotto, A DreamWorks DreamPlace – takes visitors through fun, interactive and personalised activities on their adventure to Santa. Brought to life by DreamWorks Animation, Adventure to Santa’s Grotto concept combines the studio’s famous storytelling and humour into one of the greatest legends of all time.

Furthermore, the approach of winter heralds the return of Westfield London’s coolest indoor ice rink presented by, fashion and leather goods brand, Coach, who celebrate their 75th anniversary this year. Featuring Rexy, the recognisable Coach dinosaur, the ice rink will be Located in the Atrium event space, the 500 square-metre ice rink boasts an impressive festive backdrop and after dark, sumptuous lighting and live music, makes late night skating a special experience for friends and family.

Coach will take two areas. One will be at the front of ‘Skate in Style’ - a lounge area where consumers will be able to experience the brand and the product range, whilst watching consumers skate. The second area is outside their store – specifically a retail area. The plan is to have a personalisation area where consumers will be able to get products they have bought personalised on the spot.

Chloe, the French fashion house, will also be providing a personal gift wrapping station located in Westfield London’s Village, where shoppers are able to have their gifts wrapped and ready to put under the tree.
