Effects of State Anxiety on human ability to focus on goals: Exploration of theories for a non-clinical population

Darren Shaw BSc, Cer.H.Ed Counselling, NLPprac, PTLLS
Anxiety has been studied empirically within psychology and is a commonly used term describing an emotional disorder that affects millions due to its debilitating effects and there is much left to understand abut the mechanisms of how anxiety does what it does.

Join research psychologist Darren Shaw and friends for an exploration into studies of anxiety and theories related. The main focus is how anxiety affects human ability to focus on goals and perception of goals. Be prepared for an academic journey that aims to encourage you to think critically about your own perceptions of how it works in the mind and how you might go about using current conclusions to improve your own goal-setting and manifestation strategies.

Get an insight into theories of anxiety as theorised within cognitive psychology.

Learn how attention is impacted by distractions of the mind

Consider how you can use modern understanding of anxiety to improve your own life in any area

Evidence-based theories and concepts from psychology will be shared, with group discussions about what has been shared and the opportunity to learn goal-setting strategies that are effective in creating short and long-term outcomes that are useful and motivating.
