nigel price organ trio
plus vasilis xenopoulos & alex garnett
Nigel Price (gtr), Ross Stanley (org) Matt Home (dms) and Vassilis Xenopoulos (ten), Alex Garnett (ten)

Currently in the middle of a 56-date tour of the UK, Nigel Price is one of Britain’s finest guitarists. His blend of flowing, fiery bebop lines, deep blues feeling and his hard swinging performances have made him a big hit with jazz audiences everywhere. His Organ Trio has been awarded a Parliamentary Jazz Award for best jazz ensemble. Nigel is a regular at Ronnie Scott’s where he has performed over 400 times. Previously he spent three years with the James Taylor Quartet. His latest album "Heads & Tales (Vol 2)" is released on November 11th (Whirlwind).

For this show, The Organ Trio will be joined by sax virtuosos Vasilis Xenopoulos, one of London's top jazz saxophinists. Originally from Athens Vasilis has worked with many of the best musicians on the jazz scene including Jim Mullen, Steve Waterman, Alan Barnes and Derek Nash. Joining Nigel and Vasilis at Lauderdale House will be Alex Garnett, one of the leading saxophonists in the UK and Europe for over two decades. Instantly recognisable by his dark, husky sound and hugely versatile, he has enjoyed success as both a professional creative jazz artist, composer and arranger and is an in-demand session saxophonist.
