The ArcelorMittal Orbit will stay open late into the evening on Saturday 5 November for all to watch the fireworks fly. Explore London’s skyline by night, ride The Slide in the dark and experience the magic of some of the city’s best fireworks displays from the two viewing platforms - 80m high above the city. Visitors can arrive early to catch the sun sinking below the horizon and toast to the view with a drink in hand, or those seeking more of a thrill can take on the 40 second journey of The Slide – the world’s longest and tallest tunnel slide. Twisting, turning and dropping 12 times around the ArcelorMittal Orbit, this is truly London’s most hair-raising experience, all the more exciting in the dark. Perfect for those who don’t like to get their feet cold, visitors of all ages will be able to spot London’s most famous landmarks and see the sky light up with impressive pyrotechnics from Clissold Park Fireworks, Guy Fawkes Night at Wanstead Flats, Blackheath Fireworks and the Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival – all from the UK’s tallest sculpture.
