Chaos Theory presents a mindcrusher this month, with stoner, psychedelic, progressive and post-rock, sludge and metal from three bands converging at The Facemelter from around England.

-------------------
Boss Keloid

This band from Wigan are dragging sludge metal into new mind-bending, psychedelic and progressive territory.

Metal Hammer tipped Boss Keloid as one of the bands to watch in 2016, and recently featured them as their ‘Hot New Band’, proclaiming “Up and coming purveyors of progressive heaviness, Boss Keloid have been tipped by many as among 2016’s darkest hopes. And it’s no wonder, given how adept they are at producing such unique and eclectically thunderous music.”

Their recent new album ‘Herb Your Enthusiasm’ was released April 2016 on Black Bow Records (Bast, Undersmile, Conan, Slomatics), and has received huge critical acclaim worldwide from the likes of Metal Hammer, Kerrang, Terrorizer, Heavy Blog is Heavy, Metal Sucks, The Obelisk, The Sludgelord and many more.

"Thunderously heavy." - Metal Hammer

"Crushing. A Winner." - Terrorizer

"Black gold." - Kerrang!

-------------------
Kylver

These Newcastle space troopers wield atmospheric Hammond tones, analogue effects and progressive rock which they meld effortlessly with doom and post-rock, creating something familiar to all the music we love, yet unlike anything we've ever heard.

Their album 'The Mountain Ghost' immediately had tracks featured on Prog Magazine's cover mount and received a tidal wave of great reviews, and their recently released album 'The Island' is already getting a huge buzz.

"Kylver’s real strength is not so much their evident instrumental skill, but also their careful crafting of mood and atmosphere." - Echoes And Dust

"Kylver have taken a more progressive rock approach especially with the structure of all of the songs and have built post-metal theatrics on top of that." - The Sludgelord

-------------------
Space Witch

The bringers of cosmic psych and drone return from Stoke-on-Trent once more. We had such a blast with them last year, it's a real joy to have them back. Their combination of heavy doom riffs and celestial electronics makes for a sound that holds wide appeal. We still play their self-titled EP/album (two tracks, over an hour long) every week.

"A highly intelligent outlook on all things metal." - The Sludgelord

"Both psychedelic and evil as fuck." - Echoes And Dust
