7th Philip Rueff Memorial Lecture Delivered by Maajid Nawaz

Oasis of Peace UK supports the educational institutions of Neve Shalom / Wahat al-Salam, the only community in Israel where Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel have chosen to live together to promote peace and equality

Our speaker this year, Maajid Nawaz, is a renowned campaigner, author, past Lib Dem parliamentary candidate, and founding Chairman of the Quilliam Foundation.

A central belief of our charity is that education prevents extremist views and fosters positive intercommunal relations, as such we have much in common with both Maajid Nawaz and the Quilliam foundation. The lecture, which will be on the topic of “fighting extremism”, will reflect our common interest in peace, equality, and respect.
