GØSPEL is London based duo Beth Anderton-Allen and Chris Willsher, who are set to release the first single from their new EP ‘Bodies’ on January 6th 2017. Entirely self produced ‘Bodies’ is an atmospheric and brooding track lyrically themed around an evening in a nightclub and is infused with an electro sensibility carried along by Beth’s haunting vocal and Chris’ shimmering guitars. With recent comparisons to London Grammar, Daughter and Women’s Hour, GØSPEL only formed in 2014. However the duo have already caught the attention of Radio 1’s Jen Long with their debut single ‘Disasters Running Wild’, which also attracted support from the likes of BBC London, Amazing Radio and Radio X.
"Gøspel match Natasha Khan’s emotional impact to searing melody and Fleetwood Mac style ambience" Clash Magazine
"If you like the sounds of Chvrches you'll love this" John Kennedy Radio X
" A haze of distorted bass-lines and amped up guitar sounds come crashing around Beth’s smooth and velvet like tones which she accompanies with live drums and keyboards. " - artrockermagazine
"This brooding pop trio remind me of Bat For Lashes mixed with Polica. Chris Willsher is an epic songwriter and Beth Anderton Allen's voice is captivating. They're going from strength-to-strength." - timeout london
