This open studio event will present the works of Veronika Seifert, Katya Kan, Edward Griffiths, Takuji Mizutani, Bridget Lee, Nadeem Daya, Emmet Wivo and Basil Olton. The main focus of this collaborative open studio will be «utopian landscapes» : inner landscapes, which we create for ourselves as artists in order to transcend everyday reality. Rather than exploring « utopia » in a political and social sense, we will question the notion of desire and our relationship to the natural world. In terms of media, the exhibit present a series of oil and acrylic paintings, pen and pencil drawings, leather sculpture, ceramics and make-up products. Now, if that’s not enough, mulled wine and hearty winter snacks will also be on offer.
HalfaDozen Studio is the studio in a shop offering a supportive environment for studio members to develop and extend their creative practice offering contemporary art and design and products direct to the public.
