Bordeaux Wine & Dinner hosted by Winemaker Mark Hellyar from Château Civrac

On Valentines Day, Mark will be joining us (yes we have checked with his wife if it's ok!) for a 3 course meal at Luytens Restaurant in Fleet Street, all paired with his wonderful wines. Mark makes quality claret from the fashionable Côtes de Bourg which have been amongst the most popular and best value wines we have enjoyed over the last couple of years. Alongside the price and sheer "enjoyability" of the wines, we love Civrac because, like Chateau Latour (!), Mark does not release en primeur but instead bears the costs of cellaring his wines himself until he thinks they are ready to drink (2008 is his current vintage release). Unlike Latour however his wines don't cost £500 a bottle… yet.
