"A disarming technique coupled with a undoubted intellectual mastery made Julian Jacobson's recital an awe-inspiring experience..." (The Daily Telegraph)
Julian Jacobson returns to the beautiful, historic venue of St James's, Piccadilly, in the heart of London's West End, for his celebrated annual Pre-Valentine’s Day Concert, now in its 14th year. This year he has chosen a sumptuous collection of Nocturnes and other pieces connected with the night, with some of the most romantic music ever written for piano. Chopin's famous Nocturnes take pride of place, but Julian has also unearthed treasures from Debussy, Fauré, Erik Satie and others - with a detour via Thelonious Monk - and including the epic "Romeo Bids Juliet Farewell" from Prokofiev's famous ballet 'Romeo and Juliet'.
In the interval, why not enjoy a glass of fine wine and a pot of ice cream? Drunken Dairy will be selling their own unique dairy ice creams and sorbets handmade from only natural ingredients and infused with alcohol.
With a classy vibe, minimal fuss, and wine in abundance, this will certainly prove an evening to remember.
