Janette Mason is an ‘inspired and inspiring’ keyboard player whose work encompasses jazz, pop, indie and world music. This versatility has made her a sought-after sideman with artists as diverse as Claire Martin and Ian Shaw to legendary singer/songwriter Robert Wyatt, and top pop acts Oasis, Suzanne Vega and Seal. A mainstay of the British Jazz scene, Janette has toured her own unique sound in Europe, Israel, Japan, Thailand and the United States, playing everywhere from The Atlanta and Rochester Jazz Festivals to Carnegie and Albert Halls and has several highly acclaimed CD's to her name. An excellent composer and arranger as well as performer, these days Janette divides her time between performing and writing music for Film and TV. Tonight's gig, based on her 2014 CD release of the same name, is from her wonderful 8 piece "D'Ranged" project, which features Janette's stunning new arrangements of classic popular songs along with popular jazz standards, performed by an amazing two vocal front line supported by a quite brilliant powerhouse 6 piece band. The musicians involved in this remarkable ensemble are Sharlene Hector and Lily Dior-vocals, Shanti Jayasinha-trumpet, Paul Booth-sax, John Parricelli-guitar, Tom Mason-bass and Jack Pollitt-drums.
