About Striking Women: Voices of South Asian workers from Grunwick and Gate Gourmet

A foyer exhibition, exploring two strikes led by South Asian Women: Grunwick 1976 ‘strikers in saris’ and nearly 30 years later, Gate Gourmet for which the British press reached for the same clichés. Striking Women sets these two strikes into context of the history of migration of the UK.
