Sarah Waters selected the stories as winners in a competition to mark the bicentenary of Austen’s arrival in the village of Chawton – the place where she blossomed as a writer. The bestselling author of The Little Stranger and Tipping the Velvet will introduce the collection along with fellow judge and writer Rebecca Smith, who is the five-times great niece of Jane Austen. Victoria Owen, author of the winning story, will also be reading and talking about the inspiration behind her story.
