About Henry VIII: A 500th Anniversary Exhibition
Windsor Castle was one of Henry’s most important residences. The King was frequently at Windsor, and enjoyed hunting in the surrounding forests. His first wife, Katherine of Aragon, was confined to Windsor while her husband was involved in negotiations that would lead to their divorce.
Henry’s illegitimate son, Henry Fitzroy, also lived here for a time: Fitzroy’s friend, the Earl of Surrey, would later remember the Castle as proude Windsor. Windsor is the home of the Order of the Garter, which is based at St George’s Chapel. A sumptuous register of the Order, the Black Book of the Garter, shows Henry enthroned and surrounded by the Garter Knights.
With treasures from the Royal Collection and the archives of St George's Chapel, the exhibition explores the life of one of Britain's most controversial monarchs.
Commonly perceived as a tyrant who executed two of his six wives and dissolved the monasteries, Henry VIII continues to provoke widespread debate today.
This fascinating collection of illustrations, personal objects and historical documents helps to portray a more human side to the infamous King.

My Review
Can somebody please post a review of this exhibition? I love Henry VIII (I blame Phillipa Gregory!) but £15.50 is a lot of money! And £14 for a concession takes the mickey so if anyone can write an honest review of this, that would be great :)
