Flame Tree: A dramatic living sculpture by artist Aerial Sparks

Flame Tree is an iconic, optimistic sculpture made of steel and powered by liquid gas .

Aerial Sparks is an East London based Artist who produces a wide range of bold, eclectic, "apparently" simple art works on his own or in collaboration with artists/artisans and metal workers in the UK and in Indonesia.

Flame Tree was originally conceived after musing on the apparent lifelessness of trees in winter and their coming into life in the spring.

Others have interpreted it with various archetypal/religious meanings.
