New cinema experience set to entice film lovers with unique screening events set in unusual locations

Film Fugitive is set to launch its Pull up a Pew Season in London, which will see screenings of popular classic movies taking place in some of the capitals most beautiful churches in a series of unique events.

Launching on 10th March, Film Fugitive aims to create a new cinema experience for film-goers, combining classic film with stunning settings and live musical accompaniment. Pull Up A Pew season will showcase ground breaking films in these alternative and awe-inspiring settings.

Selected events will also feature live music from talented pianists and organists to complement the season’s films, which will include:
• Classic horror films by candlelight, accompanied by organ music to set the scene
• Classic silent movies accompanied by a live pianist
• Some of cinemas best loved musicals

A Film Fugitive event isn’t like an ordinary trip to the movies. On arrival you will be met by a themed fugitive greeter who will welcome you into your venue. There you will find usherette girls selling handmade cupcakes, brownies and popcorn, along with a pop up bar serving delights such as mulled cider, naughty alcoholic hot chocolate and much more.

Film Fugitive founder, Lauren Cox, commented: “We are launching Film Fugitive with a series of stealthy screenings throughout March 2012. Our pop up cinema gives you the chance to experience cult classic films at atmospheric venues across the city and our Pull Up a Pew season will take in some of the capital’s finest churches. Our objective is to create a truly alternative experience for film fans, and we can’t wait for our first event on the 10th March.”
