Hosted by Shipshape Studio at the Brook Green Hotel, a panel discussion and networking event on careers in the design and illustration industry. This event is ideal for school, college and university leavers and anyone interested in a career in illustration or design.

During this event, our panel of three illustrators from different backgrounds will discuss careers in illustration and design, and will cover crucial aspects such as social networking and marketing yourself. There will be a Q&A session where you will have the chance to ask any questions about careers in the creative industry.

Our panel is:

Emma Block works as a freelance illustrator. She studied illustration at Middlesex University and her clients include Time Out, Rokit and the British Heart Foundation. Emma has written for The Guardian and her book, Tea and Cake, is out now. She is represented by the Bright Agency and sells a range of her prints and stationery online and independent shops.

Alice Potter is an illustrator and textile designer. She is a graduate of the Chelsea College of Art and Design and a member of the Association of Illustrators. Alice designs and produces a range of homeware and stationery that is available in her online shop and independent shops.

Rachel Lewis works as an in-house graphic designer and freelance illustrator, with an Illustration degree from the University of Wolverhampton. Rachel is a member of the Association of Illustrators and also works as part of Tea and Crayons, a collective. Her clients include Royal Yacht Club and Cutmedia. She is interested in illustration, design, advertising and branding. She writes a personal blog and blogs for Mindbubble.
